Day 1: Fes β†’ Middle Atlas β†’ Ziz Valley β†’ Merzouga Desert

First Night in the Sahara

Your desert adventure begins with an early morning departure from Fes. Travel south through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and traditional Berber towns.

Highlights of the day:

  • Stop in Ifrane, known as the β€œLittle Switzerland of Morocco”

  • Visit the cedar forest of Azrou to see Barbary macaques

  • Panoramic drive through the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves

By late afternoon (around 16:30–17:00), arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara. Meet your desert team and prepare for a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

As the sun sets, ride your camel to the desert camp, stopping on a high dune for unforgettable sunset photos.

Evening in the desert:

  • Mint tea welcome at the camp

  • Traditional Moroccan dinner

  • Berber music and drumming around the fire

  • Overnight in a luxury desert tent

Day 2: Merzouga Desert β†’ Private 4Γ—4 Sahara Tour

Second Night in the Desert

Wake up to silence and endless dunes. After breakfast, set off on a private 4Γ—4 desert excursion (10:00–15:00) that reveals the hidden life of the Sahara.
